Detached House

Location:
Calpe, (Alicante)
Project Year:
2017
The Solane house is characterised by the strength of its geometry and by an architectural composition that seeks a balance between lightness, light and materiality. Conceived through a contemporary language, the project is organised through clearly defined horizontal volumes that are precisely layered, creating an elegant and serene image that integrates naturally into the landscape of Calpe.
The upper floor, open towards the horizon through large glazed surfaces, acts as a light volume that appears to float above the lower level, creating protected outdoor spaces and enhancing the visual continuity between interior and exterior. Linear lighting integrated into the architecture emphasises the edges and reinforces the purity of the volumes, creating a warm atmosphere at dusk.
On the ground floor, the spaces extend towards the terrace and the pool, whose curved geometry softens the composition and guides the view towards the sea. The water surface reflects the architecture and extends its lines, establishing a constant dialogue between the house and its Mediterranean surroundings.
Solane is an architecture of sober and precise character, where each element responds to an idea of order, clarity and proportion. A project conceived to enjoy the light, the landscape and the tranquillity of a privileged setting in Calpe.
